Abstract:

Lushi(《路史》the Grand History), written by Luo Mi in Southern Song Dynasty and annotated by Luo Mi’s son Luo Ping, has always been regarded as an important reference book for studying Chinese prehistoric history and mythology. As the book quoted a lot of ancient books, but many of them have already disappeared, so it has a very high value for collation, compilation and historical materials. In addition, this book is also valuable for investigating the person Luo Mi, and then glimpsing the thoughts, culture, academic features of the times, the construction of exegesis, rhetoric, and dictionaries. However, the collated book of Lushi(《路史》the Grand History) has never been published yet, and there are so many errors in its texts and versions that it is difficult to read and understand. It is completely beyond the imagination of ordinary people, so it is easy to follow the errors.
