There are several character forms such as bing ( 病 ),zao ( ),sheng ( 乘 ),biao ( 表 ),chai ( ) in Chu Bamboo Strips, Jian Dawang Bohan (《柬大王泊旱》) collected by Shanghai Museum, scholars who unscrambled the content thought it recorded the king Jian( 柬 ) affected the disease of scabies, and many other scholars also hold the same viewpoint. By investigating the full text of those bamboo strips, this paper argues that the content should be telling about praying for rain and getting rid of drought, not related with scabies and disease, the bing ( 病 ) of the text means tired, sheng ( 乘 ) might be annotated as exceeding, biao ( 表 ) read as biao 孚 by scholars could be accepted, and the viewpoint about zao ( ) read as zao 懆 and annotated as anxious could also be accepted, while chai ( ) might be read as 沮 and annotated as stop.
