Since the Qing Dynasty, great importance have been attached to the collation of Guangyun (《广韵》), and there were many collated manuscripts. Wang Guowei also transcribed the collated Duan Yucai’s manuscript of Guangyun (《广 韵》) which was facsimiled by Huang Pilie, and he was adept in using the newly discovered manuscripts of Tang Dynasty of Qieyun (《切韵》) and Tangyun (《唐韵》) to compare the similarities and differences between Qieyun (《切韵》) and Guangyun (《广韵》) in small rhyme and rhyming characters, whose comprehensive collating style of Guangyun (《广韵》) was brand new during the collation of Guangyun (《广韵》).This paper mainly studies the relationship between Wang Guowei's Guangyun (《广韵》) collation and his scholarly research, together with Wang Guowei's postil and collation of Qieyun (《切韵》) and Tangyun (《唐韵》), as well as the collative natures of Guangyun (《广韵》)’s Zecuntang ( 泽存堂 ) edition collected by Zhang Shijun.
